I have used dial-up and/or broadband services from many service providers (in India) and one thing I noted is that the upload bandwidth is lower than the download bandwidth.
Is there any reason for this?

Are you working with 2d or 3d games? I would assume that more complex 3d environments would benefit more from a variable frame rate you have to compensate for too fast frame....

I've been told by a reliable source that one bank is raising their fixed rates this week.
