Dear Debbie, I would not take any one symptom without a context and propose treating it...manias or hypomanias are constellations of symptoms .

If you are concerned about something and your doctor completely blows it off and you don't have a history of being a hypochondriac, you might look into getting a second opinion (or a first opinion by a doc willing to look into it) .
