If you're doing ONLY commutes, a hybrid makes perfect sense .
Whether you can hold up on a road bike is the question you need to ask yourself .
The road bike will most definitely hold up.

Similar, but not the same. The Deluxe has two internal USB connectors
more, and a heatpipe (from looking at pictures of the two).
