It's got the same mech as the TASCAM DA-30..
I bought my Fostex D-5 for $50 working.
DAT machines have been going for $25 - $50 around here for a nicer machine .
That's pretty high.

New to the forum - I was interested to see reference to MQ1 Clifton tape recorder, as my father designed the prototype and started manufacturing these recorders in Bristol in 1949 until his death in 1952. Would be grateful for any news, views or info....

So i bought a Teac Td-310 from estate sale.
It comes with a Pre amp and Head Amp. It a Heavy Recorder.
The Pre Amp has mic input , Eq , Ultility , Channel 1 and Channel 2.
The Acually recorder is in excellent condition and works !!

my 2-track tape machine is equipped with a SMPTE time code center track, which I did not use, but probably it is a benefit I don't know...
Couldn't it be useful anymore ?
Does it probably make any sense to sync the time code with the computer/daw...
