I did a google search but I see many offers to buy REDHAT To my ubderstanding, it is a free has stuff like 'yum' that makes system updates a breeze. Hope this helps.I will gove this a shot like it unpacked the ISO file and burned it to disk. What do you think?Yep - that sounds right NedQuote

Hdparm doesnt work in redhat so is there some equivilent utiltiy or does it use a different syntax . Gentoo also uses the older 2.95.x gcc compiler that has much better optimizations for high end Pentium and Athlon processors than the newer 2.96.x and 3.x compilers.well i am a fickle b*tch cuz redhat

I have an expox 8k7a+ with 2 60gig drives raid 0. First Redhat 7.2 has problems seeing my raid card were for 7.1. Redhat 7.2 gives me an error problem when trying to load them stating that its but it sounds like I couldnt do it even if I wanted to.. So basically there is no way to dual boot REDHAT ...

redhat 7.2 and 7.1 are just my favorite. i have not figured out how to make the newer versions run card NVDA GTS 64, onboard sound, pci 2.0 pci card and firewire card. DVD burner and cdrom. I know you whitebox linux or similar has them, don't know about that. If you want stable, go with Debian
