Finally back into reefing!
Finally back into reefing after a long hiatus. Had my whole reef tank wiped out during the blackout that happened in the midwest/east coast back in 2003. Taken me this long to get back on the horse.

I want some experience from all of you about the dangers reefing have, i haven't had any problems yet, but i have read about palytoxins, bristleworns, surgeonfish knife and bitty fish.
What other dangers are waiting for us, and how can we prevent then...

Using a reef hook at the tack and the outhaul at the clew, I could not get the sail reefed correctly. The angle of the outhaul line let the reefed clew float above the boom about 10 inches, causing the sail to be too full. I couldn't get the sail trimmed...

I'm looking for pictures or video demonstrating how to run reefing lines. Our boat came without reefing lines, although the sail has 2 reef points in it.
I've searched the net and forums for examples of how to rig it, but no luck so far. Can anyone point...
