Hi guys, working on my paypal integration and its going great - I was wondering that in the case a refund needs to be made is there a way to have a refund made programmatically?

Refund using SOAP Refund using NVP Doing a refund in PayPal is straight forward if you follow the API documentation mentioned by Machine.
From my understanding, you should use the Refund API.

What is the difference between DoVoid and Refund in paypal?
Is any charges applies for the DoVoid?
Is any limitation for the DoVoid.?

Paul - I am assuming that no charges apply when you DoVoid .
And use Refund for actually refunding legitimate purchases where the purchaser changed their mind or you keeping.

This is really standard stuff, absolutely essential to the business of the original transaction .
I cannot imagine a payment processor that does not allow you to void, completely refund or partially refund a transaction.

I clicked the "refunds" tab within google voice. I clicked "refund entire balance" and it says "balance refunds currently unavailable" anybody else have this problem?

Buyer has opened a case for INR and I have tried to send a refund but this is the only transaction in my paypal that doesnt have an issue refund button in the detail of the transaction.

I have not yet opened the box of the new laptop I have bought and want to run Ubuntu on it instead of Windows. The laptop i bought is a refurb so i'm not sure where i stand with regard to being able to claim a refund. Is it possible in theory?

So, if you amend the return within the 3 years, you can get more money back .
The Statute of Limitations is 3 years from filing the return .

On the other hand, if it has only been a day or so since you got that status, then you may need to give it another day or so.... .
If it has been more than a few days since you saw that status on the irs website, then you may need to call the irs directly .
