From then I just go on to other subjects because they can be so Hostile ! It tends to be primarily the religious to passionate defenses of their positions often (as you say pre-prepared).

I think that a religious belief in terms of programming doesn't have a technical reasoning behind....
Yikes, just because a belief is "religious" does NOT mean that it is without reason.

Five salahs are compulsory upon us and no matter....
