Unfortunately , my computer is being lambasted with spyware.
It was recommended to download Adaware which I did.
However it won't install for me!
Anyway to get around this.
I know Kevin will have a solution...

My father who uses Windows XP Pro SP2 somehow managed to install the Spyware parasite known as Antivirus 2008.
I've tried several application but non of them manage to detect or remove it.

I know it sounds complicated, but when you follow removal guide step by step it's not that difficult.
You could also try manual removal.

Linux for the end user is (to the best of my knowledge) virus proof (at the moment), assuming you download software only from trusted/official repositories, keep your system updated and that you don't run any web services...

For Windows Vista / 7, boot off the CD, select 'Repair computer' at the install a pretty good job.
Ubuntu uses a god awful interface, xubuntu is a lot easier to use imho.

I am not sure how many of you have heard of Cyber Security (no link, a rogue anti-spyware doesn't deserve a link). Basically, it's a virus and a rogue masquerading as anti-spyware. You can read about how it forces users to BUY the software on the internet...

I would recommend a good 'honnest' spyware tool to aid with the removal, such as Malware Bytes ( http could buy virus removal software.
