I use Kaspersky have a haywire ....
spyware scanning needs I use zonealarm pro (it has a spyware blocker and scanner) and it's worked, but forgot a LOT of other AV packages that also have anti-spyware/malware detection.

I am not sure how many of you have heard of Cyber Security (no link, a rogue anti-spyware doesn't deserve a link). Basically, it's a virus and a rogue masquerading as anti-spyware. You can read about how it forces users to BUY the software on the internet...

I would recommend a good 'honnest' spyware tool to aid with the removal, such as Malware Bytes ( http could buy virus removal software.

As for searching for spyware, I'd normally use Ad-Aware and Spybot personnal free anti-virus recomendation are Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool , Avira & Malwarebytes with the software....
But it is very easy to use.
