Sure, there are the express editions. But when Microsoft is effectively competing for 'hearts and minds' in an OSS world, it seems more than a bit counterproductive to charge devs who wholeheartedly...

You can't buy Expression Blend and Design for anything but the highest level on the License and that just ticks me off .
It makes me ask maybe I should try and become a Microsoft MVP because they get all the software for free .

For example, say we have a ticketing system that can be configured to offer tickets at normal price, but once you're within X hours of the event, you offer them at a different price (it may be discounted or increased). We'll call this the 'rush price'...

Best Focus sales since 2003 sounds pretty good, and the big gains in import heavy California is an achievement.
Fiesta sales seem to be going nowhere, though.
Or maybe it's just incentives.
