So for example, with sharing food an English speaker may say something?" but a Chinese speaker....
An English speaker this doesn't really exist in Chinese.
Direct language and doesn't convey politeness in the same way that English does .
Can Cantonese and Mandarin speakers a) talk to each other, b) write to each other? I read somewhere that...? they can do one but not the other... can anyone confirm this and explain why?
