Code samples are not reasonable to put in (or on) your resume.
It is likely that anybody resume and immediately throw it in the trash.
I don't think it would be a good idea to put code samples on your resume.

That will very much depend on the type of your in your application and write specific....
It depends on what you mean by "resume let your user resume from the "last commit point".
But using exceptions for state handling, bad idea.

I have an ssh connection to a linux machine which is hibernated after some non-activity time.
I want to make it resume, how do I do that? (writing to /dev/mouse to simulate mouse movement didn't do the trick)

WOL packets can only be generated on the local....
A machine that is hibernating cannot come out of sleep without pressing the power button, or sending a magic packet if the ethernet adaptor has Wake On Lan (WOL) capability and the motherboard supports that .
