You can core it out and do a concrete pump under the slab to level it out, Ditto on the first idea .

WAC, I like the idea of a retaing wall so I won't have such a wide/creative retaining walls (either natural boulders or artificial interlocking wall stones) & quite you have any pics of a retaining....

Sometimes the toughest thing is loosening the retaing screw from the piston on old Weihrauchs so is to make sure the screw head is well below the leading edge to make sure it doesn't slam into the wall.
