Pros: Quite, looks good. Cons: No where close to a 11,500 BTU air conditioner! Sharp should not be allowed to sell this advertised as a 11,500 BTU. I wasted $500 and won't even think about cooling my 18' x 6' room. Draws warm air in to replace the air...

A super alternative for a window unit! - [27 Apr 2009]
Pros: Easy to install using duct tape into the window. Obviously, you want to make sure that you keep hot air out and the a/c unit needs to exhaust the hot air somewhere... so the unit must be located where a window is or it can go thru the wall. Also...

Cons: This product does not meet the specs that Sharp provides. My experience is that it only cools a room satisfactorily to half the stated volume.
