At first I was disappointed that this unit didn't work - right out of the box - but then I quickly saw an upside in that it wouldn't be eating up electricity. I could be saving $50 or so, I imagine, by sitting in a sweltering room with a non-functioning...

This is a great a/c for my needs. I only have windows that sit in direct sunlight (it's recommended to put it in a shady window) but it's still very efficient and cools the room off immediately. I would buy another.
