The balls are very light. They're made of a thin plastic (not like a traditional ping pong ball) and they have a pronounced seam through the center of the ball that goes all the way around, bad for bouncing.

The other reviews are right these are not for playing ping pong, beer pong perhaps. I bought them for an at home lottery game and they work perfectly, marker stays on them like a dream!
