Im trying to find a way to set a new default ringtone by code from my Android activity.
I have already downloaded the ringtone into a bytearray.
Anybody got a hint?

I have sounds files in my res/raw folder and i want to select a sound to set as a ringtone on the click of a button. Wonder how can i do that?

AFAIK, its(MediaStore.Audio.Media.IS_RINGTONE....
Also use "Ringdroid_RINGTONE, true);" but I still need to know how to write that to the database itself.
Go to change your ringtone you will have the option to select Rings Extended.

Hi
I am trying to add ringtones to the media/ringtones folder from my application. If the phone is connected via USB to a computer or mounted on my Mac, the ringtones do not show up in the SD Card, nor in the Ringtone settings.

If you mount the SDCard on your Mac, your Phone can´t acces it .
Did you check the setting for usb mass storage? It should be off if you want to access the content of the sd card from the phone .

The music file needs to be below 40 seconds long
and you need to so set the Genre to 'ringtone it to my phone and still cant use it as ringtone its not coming up at all..any ideas? @melkirk69 have Nokia taken a step backwards like this? ....

Just copying the file and not refreshing the music library is not a good solution for me, because I usually change...
