People will bring the 'quality' argument to the table, but I've had that 50$ rodi unit for 2 years now between a 55g, 6g, 10g, 20g tank, using a tds meter etc will be pure rodi water, so you....
Check ebay, you can find 50$ rodi units.

You'll be putting some back pressure to the membrane - which is never good in an RODI system flow.
Yes - I think I would try to find a different solution (how about moving the RODI system?).

RODI will keep there that dont use RODI water and have healthy tanks BUT that is 1 city water supply compared to all% of the reefers use RODI ....
You'll need to get it out using GFO, cheato, etc .
It's likely in your rocks/sand now.

Have you verified the product water ratio?
What's your incoming water pressure and temperature like?
Can you post the brand/model of membrane and which flow restrictor you're using?
Do you have any "weird" conditions - really long tubing runs, fittings... .
