I have noticed the rod tubes wearing the finish on my rods. If the rods are set the wrong way, the tubes chafe the fishing line. What solutions have folks come up with?

It is worse with spinning....
The rod cannot be inserted straight due in the hatch.
PVC rod holders rods get bent to the point of needing replacement.
Instead, I built a "rocket launcher" for the rods.
Sorry, I don't use the tubes.

I was wondering what people thought about the comparisons between the oliver billet bbc rods verses the crower billet rods. I have ran both but not in 1500 hp turbo motors. Which would u choose for the turbo high hp motor? Will be used in offshore motor...
