We picked up a a ruckus today and it won't do over 20MPH on a flat surface, it'll get up there plenty quick but then just sit there. The engine doesn't seem particularly wound up or anything and it sounds healthy.

Slam it to the ground, get some ridiculous tires, you'll hardly ever make it appreciably worse because it's so bad to begin with .
And so little speed you can go for a purely aesthetic build.
