If we are taking the bus or collectivo to the ruins, can we get off right at the ruins, or do we go to Tulum town first? Is it possible to walk from the drop off point to the ruins, approximately how long is it?

Even if you go to the Tulum bus station, that would be a cheap taxi ride to the ruins ticket to get from the entrance area to....
If not the colectivos will.
I have heard that some ADO buses may stop at the ruins entrance area.
Good question.

The ruins weren't crowded, and you can still climb the ruins in Belize....
You are on the bus for quite awhile.
It's almost 7 hours.
BUT...it is a long day.
If you love ruins, it is a great excursion.
We took this excursion in July 2008.

Best Ruins and something else?

Auto Progreso offers a combo tour that visits the ruins at Dzibchaltun informative and funny.
You're guide gives modest ruins closer to Progreso.
My favorite is the Mayan ruins at Uxmal, but it is a ninety minute bus ride.

Well, a couple of things:
First, why does it matter if the .svn folders within the website are ruined? Surely you're not committing FROM your production environment back into SVN? I suspect the problem you're having is later updates.
