Just to let you know the web cam is up and running on Rutland water and the Ospreys are back, They seem to have re positioned the camera and it is a better quality too hope you enjoy

However, i wonder if....
Even huge binoculars could only manage a blurred view of the birds .
They set up 'osprey watch' which was a lookout post about 1/2 mile from the nest site .
I rememeber the fuss when they came back to kielder water .

It now seems that the swimming beach at Rutland Water won't be opening until 2013 now due to lack of water.

I've got a few hours of leisure in Rutland in a fortnight or so. Can anyone suggest anywhere worth visiting/country walks etc? Ideally somewhere en-route from Loughborough to Stamford (Rutland Water?)

Velo Club Rutland are putting on their first Reliability Ride on Sunday 11th March. The route is based on part of the Rutland CiCLE tour Sportive route.
£5 to ride, includes chip timing, waymarkers, map and some group leaders. If you are still unreliable...
