Since few weeks, some websites are suddently unavailable. We are getting a 404 - The web page requested cannot be displayed.

A 404 error is usually a not found....
Seeing where that is pointing when it's not working may shed some light on it .
When you're getting one of those 404 errors, drop to a command line and nslookup or ping the domain name to see what IP is being returned .

SBS2008 doesn't run W2008 R2 and you can't upgrade to it (they may release a
new version of SBS for that)
SBS2008 doesn't run Enterprise (but eh ...not a huge deal)
You can't "break out" the bundled bits of SBS, such as Exchange, to ....

not do this with two SBS2008 licences (only one SBS server per domain is
permitted having a SBS2008 installation) il ....

sbs2008 is dhcp and dns and appears to have all mail account rights is showing under users.
