I suppose airing it out would weaken the scent, but scented shavings are not recommended at all.

The best scent I have found is the KVD FishStick problems I see is if one were to use a scent that a fish does not desire. I absolutely believe that scents work.

Mostly I prefer anything that's citrus (smells clean) or a mild flower scent. I bought a bunch of these once because they discontinued this scent but have since brought it back.
