Sentenced

We found out about 2 weeks before he left what his sentence was going to be. I was kind of glad that is was going to be all over and done with. It was the worse 3 months of my life waiting, not knowing what was going to happen. So the day he actually got sentenced I was prepared for it, so I thought. source

Go to the clerk of courts for the court of common pleas where he was sentenced, try and have his case number. All your court houses have a computer you can get on and research case laws, this is what paralegals use. This is where you can go research on your boyfriends, bosses, plus look at civil rulings too. Tell them you need a copy of the sentencing journal, or get copy of whole file for future use. Under Ohio Revised Code once an inmate is delivered to CRC their sentencing journal becomes journalized and permenant record. Therefore, in Ohio, the caselaw is a court speaks through it's journal. So whatever is in this journal is what the judge ordered. source

I was in with two people who qualified and were released to House Arrest and they had already been to CMCF. They were released like it was their tentative date and just walked out the door. They had already been to CMCF and they also already had served jail time so if you just got sentenced to house arrest and that's it then you should be good. source

He is in Durango and I have thus far never been able to directly speak to anyone at the jail. He has been there since august and the only informatin I find is automated. Is anyone privy to the number to call to actually speak to a human? source

He did deserve what he got, but I am puzzled by the judge's comment that it is worse to glass someone at home than at a Bar. Does that mean in the Judges opinion that if Bird had glassed his girlfriend in a Bar he would only have got a fine? Assult is assult and should be treated as such no matter where it occurs. source
