Last-minute program changes for West Coast Network Feed?
I probably wouldn't believe that story -- given the notoriety of "The Trouble With Tracy", with flimsy scripts, sets and acting, they probably would've scotched the entire series. Yet, even though it lasted only one season, "Tracy" was part of rerun hell on Canadian stations way into the 1980s, thanks to Cancon rules.

Anyone remembers Swat Kats?
Now this was a kickass Hanna-Barbara cartoon that was a high rated show on TBS ever sunday afternoon, i use to watch it religiously at age 12 in 1993 and became one of my favorite cartoons of all time. The animation is well done including the action sequences and character development, even as an adolescent boy i had the hots for Callie Briggs that cute blonde female Kat deputy mayor and even newslady Ann Gora.

I think the biggest reason would be the gender switching with the Starlights. That might be a little hard to explain or cover up.

Where are the anime missionaries?
I don't think anyone here is advocating forcing anime on the American mainstream. My point was that anime should be advertised and reported in a way that the mainstream can have a better understanding of what anime is really like. THEN they can decide whether to become fans or not, instead of dismissing it outright because of the negative stereotypes. I personally don't think anime could become super popular, like say, videogames but it would help the industry a lot if it were more popular than it is now.

Does Today's Generation enjoy I Love Lucy?
I know my daughters love watching I Love Lucy with me! I think it's just as funny today as it ever was and Lucy's ideas are timeless.
