In general, they can see how much bandwidth you are using, whether or not the traffic packets have been sent, so if ....
Your ISP is probably more likely to traffic shape port 443 over 22, seeing as 22 requires more real of some type.
Hi there... I'm working on a C daemon that monitors a configuration file (updated using a web interface) and then uses the Linux "tc" (traffic control) command to update the systems traffic shaping configuration. What's a good way to actually invoke the...

traffic shaping configuration directly from your deamon? That would save you calling tc and parsing.
I have just become the only IT manager of a small business. We have multiple internet providers (Comcast, Time Warner, XO and Qwest). I'm looking for some solutions that can aggregate those connections, and use traffic shaping to provide the best route...

Is there any way to forward packets from network A to network B (just like a router) without changing source IP Address (and vice versa, from network B to network A) and also enforcing traffic shaping rules? The solution should be implemented in FreeBSD...

To bet that the TrafficShaper you're referring to is NAT'ing primarily to guarantee that traffic returns.
Hi! I want to write a library (C\C++) which would be able to monitor network traffic (TCP and UDP) as well as limit bandwidth to a particular network area (apply different traffic shaping rules to different network zones). This library should work on ...

I am not sure about what you mean by limiting... .
That'll help you get started.
The source of the same is available here.
Did you take a look at the winpcap library? It's essentially the Windows version of the libpcap library widely used in the Unix world .

I'm still getting into traffic shaping myself and found the HTB Linuxqueuing discipline manual , not bits per second, as we are used to) and to have effective traffic filtering, you usually need.
I read lartc but I don't feel I need such a complicated solution for simple needs. One of such simple use cases is to limit a specific process' available bandwidth, upstream or downstream. How can I run wget or firefox constrained to 50 kb/s download ...
