What regular expression mechanism can be used to match "ski" but not "water ski"?
Or, match "ski" but not "ski sale"?
Could a short explanation be included?
Update: i mean, for example, it should be able to match "2009 ski competition" but not "2009 water...

EDIT: I tweaked the regex above, and I meant negative look-behind, not... .
Something like
(?<!water\s*)(ski\b)
That should match the word ski, where water is not the previous word.
For the updated part, you need to use negative look-behind .

They have tried to make it like "Top Gear Does Ski Sunday" and tbh I would been or of the front of Graham Bell.
Ski Sunday is awful - used to be great all those years ago with David Vine commentating, but now on the main channels.

Right now here in Tahoe, Ca. we are getting record high temps this year + NO SNOW!

I've got a new set of skis from a 2005 rev for sale. They come with new carbides and the plastic pro active control piece that bolts to the bottom of the ski. No hoops on the skis. $200.00 for the set. PM if intrested.
