It makes me sick when the Republicans in the South want to erase slavery from the history books or change it to something less than it was.
Thank God we have documentaries and reputable people who have a permanent record of what the history of this country...

I found this on Youtube, it's along lecture but covers a little studied aspect of slavery in west Virginia, which has traditionally been ignored. It's about 1 hour and 2o minutes. I hope he will publish it in some form. Dr. Philip Sturm is the lecturer...
