I put my lo down for naps and bedtime wide awake and she goes to sleep great. i just lay next to her and pat her back for a while until she doses off. she never fusses or cries. at night when she wakes to eat she goes right back to sleep with no problem...

Personally, I'd rather bed share than sleep train.
I'm with you, it works now, so if it becomes a problem later then I'll deal with it .
Not fed, I think thats more what the sleep training is for.

Now, after sleep training...he's way better...not perfect himself....
None, and he wouldn't let us rock him to sleep.
FWIW, I only hear about sleep training on the Bump.
Do so I never felt the need to "train" him.

DD will be 8 months soon and we have still not sleep trained. I wish I knew how to do a clicky poll, but I don't.
Can you tell me if sleep training worked for you, and what method you used? Also for naps as well.

I met a mom this weekend whose 14 month old still wakes up every 1.5-2 hours at night. She actually sleeps in the crib with him to get him to calm down. She said she has never tried to sleep train and doesn't think she ever will.

God, when I think of those nights ready to do it yet, who wait till 6 or even 9 months to sleep train, but I really don't get the people whose kids still ....

We just did sleep training with the girls over the weekend. I used the Moms on Call method -where they basically say control the environment (dark, white noise, etc) and put the baby down and don't come back until the morning. It was awful for two nights...

I've read/heard a lot of stories about CIO working well for people, but am wondering if anyone here has tried it and not had it go well? If so, what was your experience? DD is a terrible sleeper and we're just about at our breaking point. Just trying ...

We need to tackle DD's sleeping problems. She was sick and teething badly for a couple of months recently and we got into the habit of cuddling her to sleep, and since she recovered she won't go to sleep on her own. We're up for 4-5 hours in the middle...
