First off there was a virus issue. Virus issue is now resolved but still having trouble with the limited or no connectivity problem.
I am unable to repair connections
tried ipconfig/release renew
winsock fix
check all connections
replaced all cables...

However, in my experience, SP3 doesn't add much to SP2 in a BC installation so you may Installer.
That may solve your SP3 problem and allow you to update.
Version with the Apple download (also from within Windows).

If the installation media has two folders “Servers” and “Tools”, are you trying to install from the Tools folder? Try to install from the Servers folder .

I suggest that you upgrade to that when possible.
