Alright so i have Polk 650i's in the back and moved the speakers that were in the back to the front.
I have always had this problem and i thought it was just the crappy front speakers but i guess not.
I'm guessing it is a wire problem but I'm not entirely...

Click the volume control icon in the notification area

My brother just bought a pair of usb headphones/ mic to play a game. He really only wants to use the mic portion of the unit and leave the speakers.
Does anyone know of any setting that would could account for the usb headphones "muteing" the speakers...

If he however connects them to an output on speakers, this won't work since speakers will probably automatically switch off when.
In that case speakers shouldn't be muted when using headphones.

The only guaranteed-possible way to swap is to physically swap the wires/speakers in hardware.
Others don't.
Some soundcard drivers).
Rewire the speakers properly.
Swap the positions of the two speakers.
