Are the popular speed tests (cable, dsl, etc) that are available accurate? if so, how? Also, it seems that they only measure download speed of one file and not responsiveness, latency, robustness, etc. Does anyone know how it should be measured? any links...

In addition to using just a speed test often it's helpful to find out packet loss .
Measuring, or other services.
Are testing torrent speed, you need huge numbers of small bandwidth HTTP/UDP connections.

The purpose of this test or whatever, look in the options menu for something along the lines of connection speed test.
With, in the options menu there is a option to test your internet speed.

The issue I'm having is when I try to download some files from really big torrents more then 100GB.
I add torrent, then I select only few file from it and then I start downloading. However, often for some reason the speed goes up to 9 kB/s and stays there...

Hi my u torrent was working fine yesterday but is now playing up everything i try to download does nothing just stays at 0% and i get a caution icon bottom right saying no connection and when i do the speed test i get a connection failed error!!
Any ideas...

My isp has just setup there network to block only torrent downloads after 100GB is reached and leave the Http downloading and web browsing full speed ... now I gathering it not done by blocking ports ... wondering whether there prog runs in background...

You just have to be patient the Speed Guide with Ctrl+G, then click "Test if the port is forwarded properly." If it's red you either on transfer speed....
speed is a fraction of their download (on the majority of torrent)...

I'm unable to connect to torrent trackers when I'm using vivid. Tested using my neighbour's wireless and I'm able to connect to the trackers without problems.
Anybody facing a similar problem? Any help on this would be great. Let me know what other information...

About 10 minutes after i took those screenshots my westnet torrent speed got to 1.0 megabytes per, I can look back through the torrent speed history and see that it never gets above 100 kb/s it for me and the max speed....
