I looked at the repair costs as minimal considering....
Also running around 12-15 cord of wood through it.
Our log splitters were being built under such brand names as Hydra-Splitter, Panther, Savage as well but it has been in use those 8 yrs.
I heat my shop with wood and have been splitting by hand. That ended last year when I tore my rotor cuff and can't anymore. I would like to see some photos of home built splitters. I want to mount one on the 3 pt of my 420 and use it's hydr. I'm thinking...

Amount of wood you will like the self powered splitter it's easier to run and a hell of a lot cheaper height.

When I decided to build a splitter I researched as many brands and styles of splitters I used to....
Repositioning of the wood for multiple splits, sweet, but way more (3x) expensive than the kinetic splitters others like this.

Could these electric kinetic splitters do away with the flywheel? Would the 'lecky motor need to be too big to generate the same kinetic energy as a flywheel? If it's possible, could the motor be permanently engaged to the rack and there be an overload...

From our CB 5036 Speeco 34 Splitter One of them Red Saws Polaris Sportsman 800 (my wood hauler this to a flywheel splitter though, as the power developed only comes at the bottom portion of the stroke this to a flywheel splitter....
I know this is not boiler info to talk about but I thought some of you may like to see my latist creation When i made this wood splitter I thought about how I could use it for something else? So I made it to lift rocks and pull stumps with a big hook....

Been reading about these "inertia" wood splitters like the Super Split, DR Rapid Fire, and the SpeedPro. The last post on these were a couple of months ago. Price for the first two ( SS and DR) is a big factor and issues with the third (SP) got me worried...

Hello, have a ford 1320 w/20hp and 6.7gpm pump flow. Does anyone have any recommendations for a decent 3pt wood splitter, have looked at TSC and woodsplitterdirect, any thoughts would be appreciated

I like having the splitter at waist height or so and only lower it for big logs of Powerhorse splitters that ....
splitters can be used both horizontally or vertically, so you might give some thought to whether you want that feature.
So normally i have a ring that i fill once a week during the height of the burning season.. put that away about a month ago.. now have a tote for a day's burning next to the stove thinking it wouldn’t be a bad idea to always have two days of wood next...
