spyware removal tool (and if there is, it has yet to make a notable reputation for itself alright but rather a virus scanner than a spyware removal tool.
For OS X, I have discovered Rootkit Hunter recently and liked the functionality. What other rootkit/spyware scanners for os x have been developed that are available for use?

I suspect ClamXAV may handle spyware and rootkits too.
For spyware, MacScan is probably your best bet.
Well it seems you've found the top dog when it comes to rootkits .
How well protected is Windows 7 from spyware? What free clients are available? Do the clients for Windows Vista work at all with Windows 7?

I think it is a very good anti virus solution that will serve you well .

I am already using antivirus on all our PCs, and, of course, we're behind a firewall. Does anti-spyware software like adaware still provide an additional benefit, or does modern antivirus/firewall software solve this problem?

This exact behavior is up to the browser but this is the common practice to allow the same cookie across multiple sub-domains... .
You could check that your auth cookie is using the domain .bar.com which should work at www.bar.com , foo.bar.com , etc.bar.com .

I am not sure how many of you have heard of Cyber Security (no link, a rogue anti-spyware doesn't deserve a link). Basically, it's a virus and a rogue masquerading as anti-spyware. You can read about how it forces users to BUY the software on the internet...

Virus, anti-spyware, all the time popping up fake warnings and asking for credit-card details so you i would recommend a good 'honnest' spyware tool to aid with the removal, such as Malware Bytes ( http you remove it I would also recommend....
