With stock cast pistons, they're good to have.
Squirters are not necessary if you have forged internals.
I think that squirters are a good thing to have for reliability in a high rpm motor.

Oil Squirters, Yay or Nay? Probably one of the most frequently asked questions is the difference between the 2JZ-GE and the 2JZ-GTE block to which the answer is oil squirters.
First it's important to understand where the oil squirters are.

You basically said what twinturbo94 was....
Sooo in closing....
Once you go BEYOND FACTORY the squirter's no longer provide the same cooling.
At right? He was trying to state that the oil squirter's are only designed for factory applications.

I have not had the liberty of looking at the oil squirters in a 4BD1T engine but Im wondering if it would be possible to fit them to a NA engine? I understand there would be some sort of machining involved but to what extent? and then part numbers?

Another concern, if you fit ....
I think you'll be okay without the squirters.
I'm not aware of anyone melting pistons on an aftermarket turbocharged 4BD1 and some are pushed pretty hard .
Should be possible, but you may need a higher flow oil pump .

I've been...
