I don't believe there is a default time-limit - it's whatever "feels" right... .
On windows (and I'd guess most other systems) this is a system settings so you should look for an API that returns this .

I can't seem to get heroku to db:push, even though I have installed taps. It doesnt seem to believe me. I also checked and found a folder here: /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/taps-0.2.23/

It might be worth a try to purge both the taps and heroku gem and reinstall.
Or ruby installed from macports.

Im trying to clear up or understand the big advantage of the tapped system vs the non tapped(self contained) vortech head units.
On the tapped units the blower is sucking from a 6qt or more source of oil that also goes through an oil cooler and oil filter...

I had a V2 and hated it because of the oil leaks from both the oil feed and return... .
Selfcontained keeps engine junk out but other than that there is no one better than the other .
Tapped units work just fine as well.
Self contained units are fine.
