So I am doing my taxes and I noticed they took out almost 6K from my checks, turns out I somehow got a 3K raise, I think its because they are paying me by the hour instead of by some weird approximation they were using before.

Bank probably made them put a large amount in escrow at settlement in order to pay the taxes.
School District taxes in PA run on a fiscal year tax amount in the new fiscal year.
They should be able to deduct the entire amount.

Last year I was a 1099 employee for part of the year. Because of that I ended up paying around $8k in state and fed taxes, along with an exorbitant $810 fee from the tax pro.
