Not that it really matters, but it's not a transmitter, it's a transceiver ..
In the transmitter - hit the connect button on the transmitter - lights flash - hit the connect a try.

The people who make C.Crane FM transmitter (the one I found on their web site is possibly a newer product?).

I tried this a while back, and found that FM transmitters....
It connects directly to your audio system, and if you have a laptop bought over the last 2-3 years, it probably has built-in BT support .
For a much better quality, use a Bluetooth adapter.
