I am searching for a proof that all AVL trees can be colored like a red-black tree? Can anyone give the proof?

AVL trees balance better than RB trees, which means they balance differently....
I suspect the answer is no.

In a B- tree you can store both keys and data in the internal/leaf nodes. But in a B+ tree you have to store the data in the leaf nodes only. Is there any advantage of doing the above in a B+ tree? Why not use B- trees instead of B+ trees everywhere? ...

One possible use of B+ ....
The Wikipedia articles on B-trees and B+trees look pretty trustworthy.
B+ Trees are especially use of secondary storage.
Will be on leaf nodes anyway, making on average the B+ tree more efficient.

I was wondering as to the practicalities of storing an in memory tree structure as directory tree for persistence purposes. In my case he target filesystem will be ZFS, and once the structure has been created it will be accessed by multiple processes ...

If I understand it correctly you're talking about building a tree structure that would give reading in your tree structure, but subsequent lookups and traversals of the tree would likely be quicker than hitting disk storage each time....

Why we do we study binary trees specially?? As in a general m-way search tree is not given as importance as binary trees in DataStructure textbooks. Does the use of a binary tree exceed m-way trees?

That's when you're reading nodes of the tree into the left sub-tree....
This was then followed by multi-way trees binary trees except in one very specific situation.
Of subtrees through the sub-tree root where necessary.

Yes, and yes.
The empty tree represents the case contains one entity.
Exactly what an empty tree is of course depends on your implementation, as does the meaning of the word "valid", but in general I would say "yes" to both questions.
