I'd opt pre
for $14.00 - $36.00 your solution ....
A good tube will cost more than the pre, and probably won't change the sound much.
I don't really see the point of dropping an expensive tube into a cheap starved-plate preamp.

Hi trying to remove the handle bar tube from the head tube. Have soaked it endlessly with BP Blaster - I can neither shift the Handlebar tube or the nut holding the forks.
What if I saw through the nut? would that help?

Currently I am using the Onkyo NR3007 receiver for HT and 2 channel Audio. I would like to try a tube amp just for stereo listening. Does it make sense to get a Tube power amp and feed it via the receiver preout or better to get an integrated tube amp...

Try a tube preamp first, you will make the SS amp sound like a tube amp and still.
So if you got money to burn go for it .
Tube amps are nothing like SS amps..
Your wasting your money on a tube amp.

The tube will help stiffen the sidewall up even more, I run the stiff sidewall with the tubes in them once I get the tires, but....
That im lucky it hasnt happend yet and I dont like the idea of putting screws in with the tube either.

Have Tein HA's on my EK, Mono Tube, there pretty stiff! I love them bumps, not if they are twin tube or mono.
