I have read the Sam Maloof recipe, tung oil, boiled linseed and varnish, however my question is...it says to use raw tung oil and I have read that raw tung oil takes a loooong time to dry. What I am guessing is that the varnish and the driers in the boiled...

This is Tung Oil mixed with "11 secret herbs and spices".
Interestingly the manufacturer states Hard Burnishing Oil.
The can and they say that Danish oil is a blend of Tung Oil.

The higher the grit...the nicer the finish.

I'm finishing some birdseye maple and want to use tung oil to minimize
yellowing. Is all tung oil the same?
I see 'tung oil' and then 'pure tung oil' advertised. I'm worried
about other addatives causing some yellowing.

state what the ingredients are .
It just
says it is an oil finish.
Stuff is sold as "Tung Oil Finish" and does not state it is
pure Tung oil or that it even contains any Tung oil at all.

Is it OK to put polyurathane over a coating of tung oil? If not what would I coat it with? I see the table ifon but confused as to final step.

Are you referring to real, 100% pure tung oil or one of the faux "tung oil finishes" like Minwax Tung Oil Finish? Formbys Tung Oil, or is it just a series of coatings to achieve the finish?
I am just not sure if it is a final....
