Unemployment? What unemployment? We live in the country and are pretty much dependent on our milkman to deliver not only milk but lots of other daily groceries that would otherwise require a journey of many miles to collect.

In 2010 or 2011 US congress passed some legislation which resulted in a reduction of unemployment benefits. For example, My 2 week unemployment check went from $520 to $476. What was the legislation?

Affecting the number of weeks of unemployment a given person is eligible to receive, but I don't seem of a state's regular unemployment payments.

Reality: The CBO and BLS numbers understate unemployment, which.
That unemployment is already over 9.5% when the real participation rate is used for calculations, i.e., the BLS numbers are bogus.

If you are laid off check your unemployment office the next day to find out if you are eligible for unemployment. I was laid off Dec 2, 2010 and was eligible for unemployment Dec 3, 2010. I was a pharma rep w/60 days of pay, 20 weeks of severance, etc...
