It seems that the Mayan Palace is closed for construction or demolition, so where are they sending guests that are booked? They are still booking rooms through RCi. It seems strange. Anyone know what happens when you book at the Mayan Palace? Thanks, ...

Great ! So, now the Grand Mayan - my own place - is becoming the dumping ground... .
In May (4-11), when I was at the resort, the Sea Garden closed and the Mayan Palace were closed and all those guests were at the Grand Mayan .
You will be in the Grand Mayan.

You would want to let them know when you're travelling anyways so as not to have the fraud department cut off your card(s) .
Contact your bank but I am fairly certain you'll be able to use your HSBC VISA debit card here .

I used Vallarta Adventures who's premises are in Nuevo, booked through my tour rep at the hotel ( Riu Vallarta ) I was very impressed by how proffesional they were, especially the DM Oswaldo .

The pools are not crowded at the Luxxe and the view sitting on the beach is gorgeous .
You may not get a great view, but the rooms are very nice and the service is outstanding .
We love the Luxxe but we are owners.

I just want to mention that you may be allowed use of the water park if you have booked swim with the dolphins .
