My subscription for the U3 edition expires in 9 days, and I am not able to find any links on the avast website to renew it. Everything links to upgrade info, not renewal. Is U3 no longer being supported?

Probably user error here. Just got a MFB522 over ebay. All working fine, but running into some problems with midi - i.e. that I can't get it to receive any midi at all.
First I tried syncing from Flame clockwork midi out. I've set the 522 to receive midi...

You didn't mix up the numbers above and below the white keys then when setting midi channel?
Mine will play midi notes sent to it in either mode (MIDI clock or not) .
