My dad had the exact same one for the past 6 years or so, and I always loved it, so he ended up getting it for me for this last Christmas .

EDIT: Alright, I see the problem with the .308 round... .
And from what I can find it was manufactured in 1893 .
It's a .308, but it looks to have all matching numbers .
It's sporterized and has a shitty tasco scope on it, which I intend to replace fairly soon .
