Does anyone think getting the FULL publishing suite is worth the extra money?

We're getting sick of people uploading the vBulletin forum software. It has not been allowed for many months now and it clearly says next to the signup form do NOT upload vBulletin.
Why? Because 90% of people upload pirated NULLED versions causing...

Well just when most are thinking vBulletin is starting to get better with each release they revert back to old ways.
They just released vBulletin 4.1.10 which many think is what vBulletin 4 should have been when it was...

I'm transferring users from my old database to a vBulletin database.
I want a script to do this as it'll take forever otherwise.
I have all the user's passwords stored just like md5(password)
But of course, this doesn't work with vBulletin due to salts...

If your old system used unsalted hashes, and vBulletin uses salted ones, then if you want users to keep their passwords you will have to modify vBulletin to use unsalted ones too.

We currently have a website that uses .htaccess to control access to some pages. We also have vBulletin running which uses a different set of credentials. What is the best way to tie these two together so they can use the same user name and password?

There are some vBulletin plugins that allow basic LDAP integration.
I don't know whether the project is still active or whether the format that vBulletin hashes is to use an LDAP.

In your opinion, is VBulletin worth the money you have to pay to get it?
In my opinion, it is not. I would recommend anyone interested in VBulletin to try MyBB and see if they like it instead.
