Do vegans avoid bread entirely? Most bread contains dairy and eggs, so don't vegans not eat bread? Does this make it virtually impossible to eat at restaurants, unless you only order salads?

But bread is one of those things not really necessary even in a restaurant.... .
Again most will use "regular" bread.
Unless it's an actual vegan restaurant.
Some breads are labeled "vegan" or egg/dairy free (often as a warning for allergies.
