Suntour long-cage derailleurs are widely appreciated and should handle most any gear range you throw at them. The Cyclone and GT Luxe series are two that come to mind.

Online sources for vintage or vintage-inspired jewelry?
My jewelry isn't vintage, but I would love to custom create something in the colors you mentioned. Feel free to visit my site and email me if you have any questions!

What about a vintage forum?
Yeah, the simplest way to start is to just have one catch all forum and see what develops. It is also true that what qualifies as vintage changes every year. A recent cover story of Vintage Guitar featured Paul Gilbert and his collection of Ibanez guitars from the 80s, but if you try and post something about guitar newer than a 1960 in the LP Forum the fellahs will jump all over you. I'd suggest just starting sometning, seeing how many people show up and what they want to discuss. If there is enough demand for a particular sub-catagory then maybe it would get split out.
