I am doing an anti-virus project, I have a signature file and I want to separate the signatures in it. It is all beside each other and in hex, is there is a delimiter or something??
Thank you for your help. Abdelrahman.

Assuming I understand your question, it is a binary file... .
Use base64 encoding? If you really want to collate stuff in the same file (for whatever reason), you can use an encoding such as Base64 and use a delimiter string between different entries .

I was just wondering if a virus could melt a CPU by altering te voltage in the bios. :)

When I was a Windows user, I received many times the Virus page in Google. I thought things change in Mac. I received today my first Virus page in Google. I am flabbergasted. The experience raises a question:
How can Google know that there is a virus?...

Google also shows that warning if a site.
Please note that it's not necessarily a 'virus page'.
I believe Google shows their "virus page" if either you, or in rare cases your ISP, perform far"-warning.

I'm looking for a way to emulate virus-like behaviour for testing exclusions in anti-virus software. Can anyone recommend some behaviour that I can put together in a quick script which would trigger a typical realtime anti-virus scanner?

If you do have a heuristic-based detection program, just try some obvious virus behavior be pretty hard to find much of use by just firing off "a virus might do something like this" behaviors blindly.

I think that anti-virus would be able to determine the virus even before it gets into the OS (Windows/Linux) by filtering at the network interface port itself. Right?
But, how do viruses escape that filtering too?
Thanks in advance,
